c rayz walz puts out new project with so called “Abraham Inc”

C Rayz hit me up today and let me know the deal. The deal is, he has a new collaboration album witha bunch of talented musicians that most hip hop rappers wouldnt be able to fathom. what this means is that it combingin orchestra peeps and meolodic instruments you never heard of and then there is some ingenious emceeing behind it, witha touch of old man flavor, eastern european delicassy steez. Although the description is all over the place, I guess thats how you can describe the collaboration; suiting.

“This endlessly surprising yet highly successful hybrid of klezmer, funk and hip-hop had the enthusiastic crowd – young and old, Jews and gentiles, whites and blacks – dancing ecstatically in the aisles like it was a Jewish wedding”

Abraham Inc. U.S. CD Release and Tour

Genre-bending powerhouse ABRAHAM INC. celebrates its official U.S. CD release at NYC’s Le Poisson Rouge, before taking it to the big stage at some of America’s major performing arts centers.

An unprecedented collaboration between three cultural visionaries – DAVID KRAKAUER, champion of klezmer music and world-class chamber clarinetist; legendary funk trombonist and arranger FRED WESLEY, celebrated for his work with James Brown and George Clinton; and hip-hop renegade and beat architect SOCALLED – Abraham Inc. heralds a time when boundaries are eroding, mutual respect is presumed, and musical traditions can hit with full force without concession or appropriation. Add a three-piece horn section led by Wesley, indie-rap phenom C-Rayz Walz, and members of Krakauer’s Klezmer Madness! band, and the result is an all-out klezmer-funk dance party!
